Battery Energy Storage System to Support Voltage in Distribution System with High PV Penetration

This work performs a sensitivity analysis regarding the control of Battery Energy Storage System. (BESS) for regulation voltage levels in distribution system with high photovoltaic penetration. In evaluated methodology, BESS is connected to bidirectional DC/DC converter current, through which it possible define power be absorbed or injected by battery. By adjusting this reference power, profile network, and adjustment defined from curves that take into account system's strategic readings. varying parameters curve, impact on battery and, consequently, evaluated, drawing curve. To test simulation environment was created via Simulink/Matlab, modeling Cigré 18- Bus system, generation points were added. Then, submitted real load solar irradiation curves, performance behavior network evaluated.
